My name is Sean A Cooper. I’m a seasoned copywriter, communication strategist, and brand humanizer with an endless supply of creative ideas to support strategic goals.
In the service of worthy causes, innovative products, and authentic brands that make people’s lives better, I use quantitative research, qualitative interviews, and the latest marketing science to understand what makes people tick, how ideas spread, and how experience shapes perception.
What I do
As a copywriter, I’ve crafted clear and authentic content for various channels—including websites, social, and UI/UX—for nearly a decade. As a brand strategist, I’ve developed brand voice, messaging, and campaigns for seven years. As a marketer, I’ve devised creative solutions to marketing challenges for over five years (with experience guiding initiatives in both B2C and B2B segments). My professional background spans small businesses, startups, SaaS products, enterprise technology, and e-commerce in industries such as neuromarketing, fintech, crypto, AI, productivity tools, digital product agency, Web3, employee experience, lifestyle, venues, food, jewelry, fashion, travel, and education.
METHODOLOGY
Attuned to cultural shifts and industry trends, I write to connect, convey, and communicate. From ads to brands and everything in between, I leverage a macro-view with micro-insight to curate content for audiences, channels, and search engines.
METHOD
Diving deep into the subject’s DNA, distilling the essence, and translating key points into engaging, resonant, and actionable messaging.
What I write
ABOUT
I’m a blend of a conceptual thinker, strategic planner, and creative tinkerer with a knack for distilling complex information into clear messaging, and an ability to translate observational insights into meaningful narratives.
My lifelong fascination with language, communication, and the inner workings of the mind shaped my voice and defined my vocation. I have over a decade’s worth of experience positioning and naming brands, developing messaging strategies, implementing lean growth tactics, and creating content for small businesses, startups, and technology enterprises.
My passion for ideas, humans, and how the two interact, merges my interests with occupation into one positive obsession—making the complicated simple, the simple interesting, and the interesting impossible-to-ignore.

DLPLabs: Revamping website content and refining brand voice for a crypto startup.
Mindspeller: Helped position the brand and formulate internal/ external communications for a neuroscience startup, by diving deep into the product’s DNA and distilling the essence into a clear narrative, meaningful messaging, and compelling content.
Flow: Captured the customer sentiment from qualitative interviews, and synthesized the insights with the founder’s vision into a resonant brand (name, positioning, value proposition, messaging, brand guide, and web content).
Isabel Fay: Used user experience insights to increase the click-through and conversion rate of an Amazon self-care brand, by optimizing the listings for the way people search for the product, and by reformulating company communications to succinctly convey the brand’s competitive differentiation.
LoftStory: Named, created a brand, and marketing communications for a loft event space. I positioned the brand for the company’s most common type of customer. The logo, brand identity, and the name—LoftStory— encapsulated the essence of the event space (experiential experiences) and the type of events it was best suited to host—weddings and corporate events. The messaging and marketing communications (website content, event invitations, brochures, and venue event tickets) were tailored to stand out and to appeal to the target audience.
BetterHappy: Assisted a workplace culture transformation company to refine its brand and communications. My contribution was breaking the brand down to its building blocks, building a clear brand architecture, and formulating messaging that conveyed what the target customer needed to know to relate and make a decision. To achieve that, I defined the optimal customer profile, refined the brand voice, and charted the journey customers are on, from awareness, to trust, purchase, and beyond. My delivery included a revised brand identity, structure and guidelines, as well as a USP, and communication framework.
